The Tulsa women's basketball team signed Maddie Bittle to a national letter-of-intent, as announced today by Head Coach Matilda Mossman.

A 5-8 guard from Bixby, Okla., Bittle is a four-year letterwinner at Bixby High School. She led BHS to a 20-8 mark as a senior, while averaging 16.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.3 steals per game. Bittle was an Oklahoma Coaches Association and Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association all-state honoree as a senior, picked up all-conference accolades as a junior and senior, and was an academic all-conference selection all four years.

"Maddie really blossomed this year as a shooter and a defensive stopper," Mossman said. "Because of her competitiveness and drive, she led her team to the Oklahoma High School State Tournament. Maddie is a Tulsa kid who loves The University of Tulsa and will compete for the name on the front of her jersey in every way possible."

"Maddie has evolved into one of the best all-around players I've coached," Bixby High School Head Coach Tina Thomas said. "She's led us in scoring the last two years, plays great defense, and rebounds and passes well. She's been a tremendous leader and role model for our team."
